Employment Opportunities for Indigenous Australians
At Camco Engineering we understand that finding the right job can be difficult for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander peoples. We believe that through our involvement in the Aboriginal community, we can positively influence the employment opportunities that exist for Aboriginal people.
Our Recruitment Officer actively seeks to employ Indigenous Australians by connecting directly with the community. Part of this role involves speaking to groups of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people at employment sessions that are hosted by Indigenous Foundations. To date, we have employed candidates from the Matera Foundation, Wirrpanda Foundation, Clontarf Aboriginal College and Generation One (Branch of Minderoo).
Our objective is to have a workforce that reflects the demographics of the Australian community and to contribute to closing the gap.
Camco Engineering is proud to promote & support Indigenous Employment Opportunities throughout our company and through our highly successful Apprenticeship program on the road to become a nationally recognised Tradesperson. At Camco, we are committed to making a real and measurable difference to Indigenous employment.
Our commitment to building positive, sustainable relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander (ATSI) people and their communities by offering opportunities to Aboriginal job seekers. Camco Engineering’s commitment to indigenous engagement includes our participation in National Reconciliation Week and NAIDOC Week.
