Mechanical Fitters

Candidates must be able to meet the following criteria;

• Have experience in a medium to heavy engineering environment.
• Have experience in gearbox overhaul.
• Be a qualified trades person with a minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience.
• Be able to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Be able to follow work instructions and procedures, with the ability to work unsupervised.
• Have excellent interpersonal skills
• Have experience in dealing with Quality Assurance systems.
• Be able to demonstrate safe work practices at all times.

To be successful in this position you will have proven experience of your ability to;

• Strip, overhaul and re assemble medium to large gearboxes & Drive assemblies
• Strip, overhaul and re assemble fixed plant e.g.
  • Crushers – Gyratory, Jaw and Impact.
  • Bogies – Drive, Idling and Equalizing.
  • Screens – Vibrating and Rotary.
  • Fault finding on operating equipment.
  • Have knowledge on other material handling equipment used in mining operations.
